The Daily Peach is a newspaper-style wedding program I created for my best friend’s wedding. The piece included the ceremony program, the bride & groom’s story, a timeline of their relationship, bios on the bridal party, a crossword puzzle, area information and more.
Ballantyne Bourbon Brochure
The Ballantyne Hotel created their own Personal Select Bourbon through Maker’s Mark Distillery in Loretto, KY. This overview brochure includes the story of the creation of the bourbon, photos from the trip, as well as a lengthy description of the process and final product. The brochure is 11”x17” flat and is folded in half, then scored into a trifold. This way the viewer can open up the brochure to view the process and Ballantyne Bourbon after reading the story. The final details on this brochure were a gold-foiled belly band and a custom wax seal, which was hand-done on all 250 brochures for the release party.
James Beard House Dinner Menu
The Food & Beverage Team at The Ballantyne Hotel had the opportunity to serve a meal at the James Beard House in NYC. Their “Journey to the Carolinas” menu inspired me to create this custom piece for that event.
Bissell Experience Book
This piece was created in 2015 to help better explain my (previous) company. It included a company overview with breakdowns of each division, an overview of employee culture including charitable efforts and interacting in our community. This piece won a MarCom Gold Award in 2016.
Ballantyne Barrel Brew
The Ballantyne Hotel is partnering with a local breweries to create their own bourbon barrel-aged beers called The Ballantyne Barrel Brew. For the first collaboration, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery added their Baltic Porter to The Ballantyne's bourbon barrel. It was aged for four months and bottled into 750mL bottles. I wanted to create a label that could be used for the entire series, with only slight changes between each beer style.
Social Pet Hotel & Daycare
Social Pet Hotel & Daycare is a dog daycare and boarding facility that was started by a former coworker in 2014. Early in the process of starting his business he asked me to create their branding, and the relationship blossomed into my first freelance client. I am responsible for all of their printed marketing and most of their digital promotions, not including their website.
Salon Business Plan
In 2013, my hairstylist and her business partner were working to start their own salon. Based on a logo created by another friend of the stylists, I put together their business plan and supporting documents for their request for a business loan. I even hand-sewed the binding for an extra special touch.
Wedding invitation suite including gold heat embossed pineapple cards, gold foil details on invitation, address labels, envelope liners and belly bands. All foil accents were done by hand using the Minc.
